Aussie music literacy series Don’t Stop the Music has been commissioned by German broadcaster ZDF for a local version.
Originally created and produced by WA-based Artemis Media for ABC in 2017, the series featured Guy Sebastian and music teachers at an underprivileged primary school as a groundbreaking new music programme was introduced.
The ABC screening led to more than 4200 instruments being raised for children with a further $67,000 donated across both Musica Viva Australia and the Salvos’ Just Brass program.
The new version is to be produced by Redseven Entertainment.

As the ABC’s impact producer for this campaign I can confirm that there were in fact over 7100 instruments donated to the ABC Don’t Stop The Music campaign and over $130,000 was raised to support music education programs.
Excellent, glad you’re reading too!
Always David! Perhaps you can update the article.
