"Australia Belongs Here" was the message to advertisers at Nine's 2023 showcase at Luna Park yesterday.

Nine staged its first in-person Upfront in 3 years at Luna Park, followed by a party at the ‘House of Nine, at The Rocks.

It was a big crowd of clients and media attending the lavish event by Nine in which CEO Mike Sneesby unveiled the theme, “Australia Belongs Here” across all of Nine’s Television, Radio, Publishing and Digital assets.

The event began with an acknowledgement of country and concluded with Great Southern Land fabulously performed by MItch Tambo and Reigan Derry.

Head of Content Production & Development Adrian Swift announced new and returning shows (which you can read here) and staged a ‘Live’ cross to Sophie Monk in Spain, filming Love Island.

Andy Lee and Brooke Boney introduced several sections with Lee joking that he was ready to succeed Tracy Grimshaw on A Current Affair -it didn’t get too many laughs from the crowd. Roz Kelly presented Sport, Nick McKenzie & Sarah Abo spoke to Nine News with a Live cross to Amelia Adams outside Buckingham Palace.

Performers at the Nine after-party were Peking Duk, with DJs Lauren Mac, Tigerlily. Inside were three floors of activations to highlight Lego Masters, Parental Guidance, Snackmasters, a ping pong tournament, dance floor, and even an outdoor ferris wheel.
