Returning: Starstruck

Rose Matafeo comedy returns to ABC with new cast member John Simm.

Season 3 of UK comedy Starstruck, starring co-creator Rose Matafeo, begins tonight on ABC.

Still living in London and working at the local cinema, series three follows Jessie (Matafeo) as she explores a new single life having parted ways with film star Tom (Nikesh Patel; Four Weddings and a Funeral, Hulu; Indian Summers, Channel 4).

Two years on from the breakup, Jessie navigates the pressures of adulthood and is confronted with the consequences of her own choices as her friends move on to the next stages in their lives, while Jessie is left questioning what she is really looking for.

Co-written by Rose Matafeo, Alice Snedden and Nic Sampson, series three also marks Matafeo and Snedden’s directorial debut, while Minnie Driver (Modern Love, Amazon; Good Will Hunting) reprises her role as Tom’s agent Cath, and John Simm (Life on Mars, Doctor Who; BBC One) joins the cast for the brand-new series.

9:25pm Wednesday on ABC (all episodes available to binge on ABC iview).
