Johnny Depp was the subject of fake reports on the weekend that incorrectly stated he had died in a car crash.
The former 21 Jump Street-turned-movie-star was the subject of much beserk Twittering, as the top-trending topic: “RIP Johnny Depp.”
But it all traced back to a fake CNN page hosted by web-hoster Angelfire in 2004 which says he supposedly died in a car crash in Bordeaux, France driving under the influence of alcohol.
He’s alive and well.
Jeff Goldblum must know how he feels.

hmm what would Hunter Thompson make of all this
Leave Dicky alone, he’s a perfectly acceptable Nine Network personality.
I nearly freaked when I saw the TT on twitter..! My gosh! A few seconds research brought me to the 2004 hoax page, however… Thank heavens.
You just know if it was a day earlier Richard Wilkins would have jumped on this report! LOL
Quick get Dicky Wilkins on the phone !
