ABC's new drama / comedy built around a struggling rock pub band promises “sex, lies and loads of great original pub rock.”

ABC’s new  drama / comedy built around a struggling rock pub band, Boy Crazy Stacey begins next month with “sex, lies and loads of great original pub rock before culminating in an outrageous climax.”

I ROCK stars Josh Mapleston as Nash Taylor, a mix of swagger and arrogance hiding a nerdish vulnerability, who attempts to claw his way to the top of the rock & roll heap.

It also features appearances by Aussie musos including Tim Rogers and Lovetones.

It is the first Australian drama series to be produced especially for ABC2.

It airs 9:00pm Monday May 3rd.

  1. … As long as it isn’t getting aired on ABC1 a week later. We need to drive digital uptake further.

Don’t think it’ll be ‘must see TV,’ but at least the girl looks alright. 😉

  2. Hmm this could go two ways. Firstly, it could be ok, like a season two of ‘love is a four letter word’ or, it could be an Aussie muso w*nker fest. Who isn’t in a band these days? Unfortunately I am not holding out much hope but will watch and hopefully be proven wrong.

  3. Filmed at Sydney’s famous rock venue the Annandale Hotel. Lookout for the black and white wallpaper in the venue by Australian artist / illustrator Eamo Donnelly –
