Despite reports he would be fronting the Australian adaptation of Mantracker, Bear Grylls has said he is not.
The news that he would appear in the adventure series with an indigenous tracker was reported by London-based media publisher C21 as part of its MIPCOM trade news. The local series is to be produced by ActiveTV.
But yesterday the Man vs Wild star told TripleM Brisbane he would not be hosting the series.
“No I’m not doing that,” he said. “I’m down in Brisbane with you guys in about a week’s time, doing a tour of Bear Grylls Live events.”

Well that’s just embarrassing (if true). Is it possible the production company making the show would announce that if they hadn’t confirmed Grylls’ involvement?
