Mark Burnett plans more formats for Oz

Survivor‘s Mark Burnett is planning more formats for Australian television.

Burnett, who is also behind Celebrity Apprentice, told Tassie-based Survivor radio show, Survivor Oz on Edge Radio, “I can’t reveal but I am working on some other shows which we are going to do in Australia. I was meeting with some people from Fremantle in France last week, and we’re talking about some stuff we are doing.

“I’m not sure it’s been announced though and I don’t want to speak out an pre-empt those announcements. But yes, I think about Australia a lot, love doing work in Australia and so yes there are some formats that we’re going to be doing in Australia for sure.”

FremantleMedia signed a deal with Burnett for local format rights in June 2011.
