Julia Morris to host Australia’s Got Talent

The ever-versatile Julia Morris has been announced as the new host of Australia's Got Talent on Nine.

2013-04-13_2357The ever-versatile Julia Morris has been announced as the new host of Australia’s Got Talent on Nine.

Morris, whose star has been on the rise ever since she won Celebrity Apprentice, was recently nominated for a Silver Logie as Most Popular Actress for House Husbands.

As she recently told TV Tonight, she has had years of experience in hosting corporate events.

“I love them, because people come to them thinking they’re going to have quite a formal evening and one of my special gifts is to make them quite irreverent. A little bit naughty, never dirty, and everybody has an explosive evening. Or at least a good majority of them. Certainly the one or two that have approached me!” she said.

Nine even drew upon her skills for its 2013 Programming Launch to media buyers last year.

AGT so far has Dawn French, Kyle Sandilands and Timomatic as its judges, but a court case injunction has prevented Mel B from officially joining the show.

It airs later this year on Nine.

  1. Heartfull congratulations “J” , what coup for both Jullia and Nime.

I hope your time at acting school included athletics and pest control techniques.

Athletics as in ‘High Jumping, Sprints and Endurance running’ so that you will have the ability to leap over or run around “Kyle’s Ego” and the pest control techniques may come in handy if you start to steal to much of the “Kyle’s Limelight”, and you need to be proactive in “White Ant Control”.

Also seeing that you may not get a Nine credit card, do not forget to keep and submit your receipts for your Badminton Racquet and Wrist Sweat Bands, for returning “Kyle’s Dummy Spits” or ‘especially so’ if you do happen to get a Nine credit card

  2. Julia Morris is great and I just love her in HH but it this will be interesting. She would have to be semi serious and as funny as she is its not a show where you can just be funny. If that make sense.

Although I reckon she would have a few Kyle jokes up her sleeve. Her and Mel B would get on I reckon

  3. So they lost the court case did they, or did they decide she wasn’t worth fighting for? Julia Morris is a great choice, she’s popular & funny and best of all she’s an Aussie. Don’t know why they didn’t think of her in the first place and saved themselves a lot of trouble. They need to change their ads though, they have still be saying Mel B in them.
