ELEVEN has yanked Nurse Jackie from the schedule immediately and replaced it with Reckless, which was dumped from TEN.
Next Tuesday Reckless airs at 11:15pm.
“Bloodstone”
Jamie enlists Roy’s help as she dedicates herself to clearing the name of a pro bono client wrongfully accused of murder, and with whom she is hiding a shocking secret from.
Repeats of Sex and the City, which were airing at 9:30pm, are also out now replaced by a movie: Beavis & Butthead Do America.
Will try to keep you posted on Nurse Jackie.
Update:Â TEN advises it will return on December 2.

@ mv …what you said…totally agree…
@ David Knox…thankyou!
Oops meant Dec 2!
“10 Advises it will return Dec 10” Thanks for letting us know David. I just don’t understand why TV stations do this. Do they not understand people hate it when shows are moved around! If they are going to play it eventually just play it all now, then show Reckless when Nurse Jackie’s season is done. When they do this I tend to forget when it’s coming back and miss it anyway. It also makes the season disjointed and not as enjoyable to watch.
I am so angry about this! Who in their right mind at Ch 10 thought this was a good idea?? Honestly just let the season finish!! Then they scratch their empty heads wondering why people view shows by “other means”.
TEN advises it will return on December 2.
I’m incandescent with rage-how many viewers do 10 think Reckless will get given it was cancelled in the US and ended on a cliff hanger (for the non existent 2nd season) and was bumped by 10 due to low ratings initially?
There are also only 3 weeks of the ratings year left, so again, why?
The decision was to replace Sex and the City with Beavis and Butthead hoping for higher ratings.
Depending what replaces Sex and the City next week, Nurse Jackie might fit in on Tuesday night. It will rate better in its regular slot than being stuff later at night somewhere else.
What a stupid, stupid move. Wouldn’t it make more sense to screen Beavis and Butt-head Do America during Eleven’s Wednesday night animation block? It’s not as if they’re currently screening any new content (aside from Bob’s Burgers, which aired in the U.S. about 8 months ago).
Why can’t Eleven air Nurse jackie after the sunday night movie
@daviec4u
Secondary channels aren’t carbon copies — that would just fragment the market for nothing.
GEM and 72 offer cheap repeats and cater for over 60s and Eleven and Go! offer cheap programming for under 40s. This means there is stuff on for a wide range of different demographics during primetime.
They were nevering going to result in three times as much interesting on for any one set of tastes. And they were never going to generate any extra revenue for making or buying more new content.
Such a short sighted decision. Like others who have followed Nurse Jackie from the beginning, I have waited patiently for 11 to screen this series, while resisting the temptations of other means. Now they pull it well into this series. This poor decision will be remembered at the next TV Tonight viewers poll!
Now 11, just don’t getting any crazy thoughts about messing with American Horror Story, the only other show I watch on your fast deteriorating channel.
My wife won’t be happy about Nurse Jackie at all.
And just 5 minutes before reading this I was thinking what happened to Tyrant – as am enjoying that too.
Really sick of having to follow shows I get into around timeslots and channels.
Thanks to Pete for advising where Tyrant is now – but, from past experience, even when it gets to ONE. it will still change times again.
Over it
@tomothyd – same. Commercial FTA scheduling is driving people away. I won’t be coming back and they only have themselves to blame.
What will Aus FTA look like in 2020? Will Ten still be around?
The Stations are screaming about illegal downloads, but who is to blame, thought digital channels would offer something else, but they are just a carbon copy of the main stations.
@Pete – Thanks re Homeland. Have to reset my PVR. What would TEN do without SVU, Modern Family and NCIS repeats?
Why has TEN never rerun L&O:CI ? Only SVY over, and over, and over.
Three episodes left. Originally they had nurse jackie and then reckless after it which would have been the logical move.
When Ten moved Reckless they had Nurse Jackie at 10:48pm and Reckless at 11:30pm. They have now put in Beavis and Butthead at 9:30pm and dumped Nurse Jackie, presumably because they didn’t want to dump Reckless twice in one week.
Ten has usually left low ratings shows in late night slots because they don’t have much in the way of replacements. But the order must have come down from on high to dumps them to get that extra 0.1% share, and to hell with the viewers.
Completley outrageous! There can only be a handful of episodes left of this terrific season!
Surely with all the repeats airing on ELEVEN, they could leave Nurse Jackie where it was and find a new spot (wouldn’t be hard) for Reckless to be slotted into since it was yanked from TEN. But that would just make too much sense wouldn’t it.
Why Ch10 why?
Honestly, if I didn’t have Foxtel, I’d chuck the TV set out!
I feel very sorry for those people left trying to find anything of quality to watch on FTA.
If there’s no room for programs like Nurse Jackie, then you can understand why so many have voted with their feet.
Or should I say voted with their mouse?
Absolutely idiotic scheduling happening here. This is exactly why I do not bother watching any overseas content on Australian television.
This is a game changing move with the upside likely to be 2 or 3 extra viewers……
Why?!?….Not happy.
Oh! Not.Happy.Jan!
Other changes are Homeland to 10.30 Mondays and SVU repeats at 9.30 and Tyrant moved to One Tuesdays at 10.30.
