ELEVEN will premiere US drama Salem in October.
Not to be confused with Days of Our Lives backdrop, this is inspired by the Salem witch trials of the 17th century.
The series premiered in the US in May and has been renewed for a second season.
Set in the volatile world of 17th Century Massachusetts, Salem explores what really fuelled the town’s infamous witch trials and dares to uncover the dark supernatural truth of this infamous period in American history.
After seven years of service fighting in the French and Indian war, John Alden returns to his home in Salem, intent on reuniting with his love, Mary. He is stunned to discover that the town has been swept up in itch hunt hysteria and that Mary has married the town’s richest and most powerful resident.
10.30pm Monday, October 5 on ELEVEN.
Update: Now out of schedule.

Hi David any more news on Salem?
No. I suspect ELEVEN will wait for Scream Queens or AHS to finish before this resurfaces.
I’d never heard of this or WGN. Yet another small cable channel getting into the original programming business. I guess Ten picked it under their 21C output deal to follow on from The Witches of East End.
It will follow the final episode of Extant. I thought Scream Queens would be on Mondays (because that is where the repeats of the first 2 eps are). But it is moving to 9:30pm Wednesday on Eleven, staggered against stuff on the main channels.
Another one of these periods were every show I watch is on Late Wednesday night. At least Bosch finishes up this week.
Goodness, this has taken quite a while to reach us…..Great series tho…:)
