Days of our Lives, The Young and the Restless, move to 10Play.

Long running soaps will also be coming to 10 daytime schedule, while The Drew Barrymore Show begins in June.

Long-running US soaps The Young and the Restless and Days of our Lives are joining 10Play.

Days of our Lives has been screening on FOX One along with The Young and the Restless, and both on 9GEM. Both are exiting Foxtel while 9GEM will continue with older episodes until contracts expire (late 2024 Y&R, late 2025 for DOOL).

From Monday, June 3, Days of our Lives, will be available to view on 10 Play, fast-tracked from the U.S.

From Monday, July 1 The Young and the Restless is also fast-tracked from the U.S. on 10 Play.

Both soaps are also “coming soon” to 10 which would likely bump up the network’s daytime soap schedule alongside Neighbours & Bold & the Beautiful.

10 is also adding The Drew Barrymore Show to screen weekdays from 11am Monday, June 3, with host Drew Barrymore encompassiong celebrity guests, news, pop culture, food, DIY design, human interest and entertainment. It has previously screened on Arena.

10 indicates “more details to be revealed soon” on changes to its daytime schedule.

  1. I hope Days moves to the main channel soon – on 10play there’s 11mins of repetitive ads that you can’t skip to 35mins of actual show time. Makes watching an episode so painful.

  2. Could this mean Dr Phil and Judge Judy re-runs are finally bon voyage? Weird that we’ll be seeing TYATR and DOOL licenced on Nine, 10 and Foxtel over the next 18 months (usually they’re exclusive in total to one broadcaster or shared Pay TV and Free TV but Free TV exclusive), although admittedly we’re long gone from the old output deal days. And I guess not too dissimilar to SVU on Ten / Foxtel > Nine > Seven and taking a while to lapse, with varying season rights.

  3. I can understand The Young & the Restless moving to Channel 10, that’s shown on CBS in the US.
But don’t agree & understand why Days Of Our Lives also has to move to Channel 10, it’s not on & owned by CBS.. It’s on & produced for NBC Peacock.!?
    Crazy!!

    1. Both Days and Young and the Restless are distributed by Sony. Although Y&R and B&B are sister soaps on CBS in the US and have occasional crossovers. Days and Y&R have always been paired on Australian networks, going right back to the 70s.

  4. From memory in decades past 10 had developed a faithful (although not huge) audience for it’s talk show and soap daytime schedule. This was back in the day of Ellen, Dr Phil and BATB as well as the then iconic Ready Steady Cook. Given 10’s poor daytime schedule at the moment and a lack of presence in morning TV this might actually increase their lead in to the afternoon news and evening schedule. It’ll be interesting to see how it pans out.

  5. Would love to see 10 play add General Hospital to the list. General Hospital is far more popular than Days of our Lives. I’m sure Channel 10 will win more fans if they bring back General Hospital.

  6. I am so annoyed at this esp if it is only airing on 10 Play and not the main Channel. On Fox I can IQ it and skip through scenes I’m not interested in (Chelsea I’m looking at you on Y&R!). Watching things on platforms like 10 Play means you have to sit through ads. Grrrrr

Will it at least be on Paramount+ too??

    1. That would be so unreal but if they haven’t announced it in the lineup of shows I can’t see it happening.
Would love it to be back

  7. Days is the main reason I have Foxtel, looks like a great reason to cancel my subsription. Oh wait, I use Foxtel iQ as a recording device…not so fast, I gotta think what I can do.

    1. You can Cancel Foxtel and get Fetch TV instead.
With Fetch TV you can also Record, Fast Forward, Rewind, all the same on the Better Fetch Mighty Set Top Box.
And it’s also Much More Cheaper!
