“I would like to congratulate all this year’s nominees,” TV Week Editor Thomas Woodgate said at the nominations announcement event at Nineteen at The Star. “The list proves what an exceptional year of TV we have enjoyed. I expect the race in all the Most Popular awards to go right down to the wire, so I urge everyone to get voting once again when live voting reopens on June 25 to make their votes count.”

“I am proud to welcome all the nominees for TV’s night of nights to the beautiful Gold Coast,” Queensland Minister for Tourism Industry Development Kate Jones said. “The Gold Coast is still buzzing from hosting the Commonwealth Games – and now anticipation is building for this year’s premier awards night.”

City of Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate said, “Good luck to all this year’s TV Week Logie Awards nominees – we can’t wait for the Gold Coast to welcome you all here on July 1 for Australia’s biggest and best awards show.”

Live voting for the 10 Most Popular awards – including the Gold Logie – will reopen on Friday, June 29, and finish at the end of the red-carpet on Sunday, July 1st, broadcast by Nine.

  1. I’m bummed that Kestie Morassi didn’t get submitted by the Seven Network for Home and Away. Her character’s (Maggie Astoni) cancer battle and the impact it has had on her family has been the standout of the 2018 season.

  2. Yuck! Who on earth would nominate Tracey Grimshaw and Grant Denyer? Two of my least liked people. And there are so many celebrities that missed out on being a nominee-that’s more deserving then what’s on that horrible list.

  3. My favourite nominee this year is Kate Atkinson for Wentworth. I really liked her in Sea Change but love her as Vera Bennett. I hope either Kate or Pamela Rabe win. The latter unbelievably has never won a Logie.

      1. Thanks for that, David. I’m more thrilled that Kate is so thrilled. I hope she wins. I know you’d be happy that Celia is nominated again too. Now if we can get Katrina nominated next.

  4. I’m very happy for a lot of the nominees, but I particularly want to congratulate Amanda & Andrew for the Gold Logie noms. Every time I watch or listen to an interview with Amanda, I realise she is just as genuine & passionate as she sounds on air – very well deserved. I regret that I don’t watch as much of The Living Room as I have previously. For Andrew, well done on beating out higher profile personalities. The Selling Houses team have such a good chemistry with each other, and the quality of the show is incomparable To the other property shows. In one hour, you get a brief, reno & reveal

  5. They used to have a breakfast function while the morning shows were on & they’d cross over live for the nominations. Now they have it on a Sunday afternoon. Good to see Amanda Keller up for a Gold. Interesting nominees this year.

  6. On the subject of Andrew Winter, can you confirm if Selling Houses has been renewed for another season? Or is it done (next ep mentioned as the “final”)?

        1. Andrew Winter has been filming Selling Houses Australia but it was suspended, a couple of weeks ago after Andrew revealed he was hit by an episode of Bell’s Palsy. He is recovering from the episode which has left one side of his face in a state of paralysis.

  7. Shout out to 10 News tonight for allowing Angela Bishop to ask Tracy Grimshaw a few questions in the lead up to the Logies. We rarely see opposing networks do this.

  8. I know no one in the most outstanding actress category.

Andrew winter seems an odd choice for gold. Shannya blaze and the guys from the block do more then him.

    1. They are all well known actresses and all very deserving as they are all talented across number of shows and films that they have appeared in over the years. Elisabeth Moss known for Handmaid’s Tail. Pamela Rabe very well known. Have you see the film Cosi or The Secret Life of Us? Kate Box brilliant in Rake. Three actresses are current or former characters in Wentworth.

  9. These categories are whack – Travel Guides and Gogglebox aren’t in the same category? Yet news and public affairs get merged and others are axed all together. I’ll never get the logic.

  10. Sports coverage looks odd.

No BBL for Ten & no NRL/Origin for Nine (both networks’ best rating). Instead Bathurst and cricket which are rarely seen nominated.

Yet AFL GF and Aus Open final for Seven.

  11. How did Andrew Winter get a Logie Award nomination for Gold Logie? Sime obvious nominations from the start of this year which were fresh in people’s minds but not necessarily the Most Popular last year.

  12. Good to finally see Amanda Kellar up for the Gold Logie.
And am glad that Andrew Winter is up for the Gold (and Popular Presenter) too.

          1. It seems that when a network gets behind a presenter/actor then they get the nomination…..
I won’t enter the do they or don’t they deserve it. Some people who have been in the industry for a while have not won many awards (although I think Tracy has won some journalism awards in the past?
Any nominee is deserving according to the popular vote.
