The final for Sunday Night Takeaway features Lisa Wilkinson in a prank and special guest Magda Szubanski.

She may be one of Australia’s most respected journalists and presenters, but this week, Lisa Wilkinson is foolishly putting her reputation in the hands of Dr. Chris Brown and Julia Morris.

In the season finale of Chris & Julia’s Sunday Night Takeaway, Lisa will take strict instructions from Chris and Julia via an earpiece when she invites a string of potential dog walkers in for an interview.

While the walkers might think Lisa has gone dog crazy, Chris and Julia will be rubbing their hands together in delight up in the control room.

Also back to making your living room Sunday’s best party is everyone’s favourite segment the Happiest Minute, an unforgettable Audience Surprise, Little Chris and Julia return for that extra bit of cuteness and special guest Magda Szubanski drops by for some Sunday fun!

  1. David do you know if this is the last one ever or if there is more planned? It’s advertised as the season finale but from what I’ve read, this might be it.

  3. It would be nice if Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway could be imported from the UK for broadcast, even if it is at an odd hour as I would still watch it. Ant & Dec are darlings of the UK so they would appeal to expatriates and UK culture fans. Ant & Dec did have a hit song in the Australian singles charts under their moniker PJ & Duncan with “Stepping Stone” back in 1996.

    It’s unfortunate that the Australian version didn’t achieve the success that they were looking for as they seemed to tick the right boxes for the most part. I think they should have taken the old Hey Hey It’s Saturday timeslot of 6:30PM on Saturday’s to recapture that particular family timeslot market.
