Renewed: Survivor, The Amazing Race (US).

Survivor heads to S44 and The Amazing Race to S34.

Favourite US reality shows Survivor, The Amazing Race have both been renewed by CBS for new seasons.

Survivor, which is fasttracked tonight with a double episode on 9GO! will be back for 43rd and 44th seasons and The Amazing Race, currently screening on Seven, to a 34th season.

Survivor has remained consistently popular in its over 20 years on air, scoring 7.59 million US viewers during its last season.
The Amazing Race Season 33 averaged of 5.42 million US viewers.

Both travel adventure shows were heavily impacted by the pandemic but managed to restart more than a year after halting production.

  2. Very disappointed that Go will not have closed captions on Survivor. But Congratulations to Channel 7 for having The Amazing Race in Closed Captions. Not impressed with channel 9

  3. I dislike the negative tactics used in the shows as it promotes bad behaviour which spills over into society or real life, more so with Survivor. Admittedly they both have two of the greatest TV theme songs of all time that really get you into watching the shows.

    1. I just checked Jeff’s Instagram where he confirms 43 and 44. For whatever reason CBS hasn’t said anything about 44 yet, but if Probst says it, it’s as good as done.
