RPA returns to Nine

After 11 years off screen, a trailblazing observational series returns for 2023, now with narrator Rodger Corser.

Long-running medical factual series RPA is returning to Nine after 11 years off screen.

With compelling behind the scenes vision at the Royal Prince Alfred in Sydney, the original series was one of the first of its kind. Narrated by Max Cullen it ran from 1995 to 2012, drawing bumper audiences hooked on its all access.

Once again produced by McAvoy Media, it returns with narrator Rodger Corser, taking viewers inside the Emergency Department, wards and operating theatres, to showcase the amazing dedication of the doctors, nurses and specialists, as well as spotlighting patient stories.

In this season, RPA will add another layer of storytelling depth, digging deeper into the medical teams and patients than ever before. We learn about the hero doctors on the frontline saving lives, understanding why they do what they do and how it affects them. We also get to know the patients’ back stories in their home environment, seeing their lives outside the consulting rooms and hospital wards.

Plus, RPA will embrace the vast revolutionary changes medicine has made in the last decade with advancements in technologies and treatments such as minimally invasive brain, heart and robotic surgery, 24/7 clot retrieval procedures for stroke sufferers, and many more.

9pm Monday March 27 on Nine.
