Renewed: Colin from Accounts

Logie-winning comedy will return for a second season, with writing to commence when the US strike ends.

Foxtel Group has announced announced a second season of hit romantic comedy, Colin from Accounts, a week after its triple-win at the Logie Awards.

The series stars creators Patrick Brammall and Harriet Dyer as two strangers brought together by a car accident and an injured dog.

Both won Outstanding Acting awards while the series won Outstanding Comedy.

Patrick Brammall and Harriet Dyer, said. “We’re thrilled that Binge is finally giving in and letting us do another one. Turns out the Border Terrier community is extremely powerful. Thank you to everybody around the world who has enjoyed the show, we can’t wait to bring you all a second season. Stay tuned for more shenanigans.”

Alison Hurbert-Burns, Binge Executive Director, said: “The funniest couple on TV (and their dog) are coming back. Binge is thrilled to confirm a second season of the award-winning Colin from Accounts. We left season one unsure if Ashley and Gordon could get Colin back so of course we need to see what’s next for these lovable characters that audiences in Australia, and the world have fallen in love with.”

Rob Gibson and Ian Collie, Easy Tiger, said: “It’ll surprise no-one to learn that making Colin from Accounts was pure joy from beginning to end, so we can’t wait to dive into season two with Harri and Patty and the team. We’re deeply grateful for the ongoing support of our partners at Binge and so are the many fans who’ve been clamouring for more of Gordon & Ashley (and Colin).”

Patrick and Harriet will return to write, star and Executive Produce, however Dyer recently confirmed writing would not commence until the WGA strike had resolved in the USA.

The series distributed outside by Paramount Global Content Distribution was recently sold to multiple territories including the BBC.
