  1. @Nick – adventure / action / crime – call it what you will, it’s still a mediocre example of the genre. Apart from it not being even close to an accurate portrayal of what actually goes on, the scripts are incredible (as in not credible), most of the characters are cardboard cut-outs (so it doesn’t matter whether if McCune and MacIntosh can act), and I find the excessive dramatic gravitas to be ridiculous and very off-putting.

Have a look at Patrol Boat to see how this could be done. It wasn’t great but it’s better than this.

  2. I think they’ll be lucky to crack 800k against Winners and Losers on this. And for those bagging it, it’s an adventure series, stop overanalysing and maybe you’ll enjoy TV again.

  3. I hate this show too , i can see the crap already , Lisa McCune cant act anyway , as if anyone would believe her in real life , ha.So no CSI NY again , yes there hopeless and replacing it with another Top Gear , i despise that show to now , Clarkson is so full of himself and loves the sound of his own voice.

  4. I hate this show, can’t wait to see it flop in the ratings. Why don’t Nine poach the rights to Mad Men from SBS? They did it with Top Gear. There’s 4 seasons of quality with another 2 on the way, stupid one of the commercial nets hasn’t grabbed it yet.

  5. This is going to tank. Winners and Losers will hold its own even though its a fairly new drama it is expected to have Australia’s Got Talent lead in while on TEN we have NEW NCIS which is their strongest overseas drama. Nine must be complete and utter morons. This show has had 3 different nights, Monday, Tuesday and now Thursday. Like i said programming morons. Mind you at least they are trying something but i think it will backfire big time.

  6. Unbelievable storylines and dull execution. Unbelievably dull. It hasn’t been as bad as Cops LAC was so I’m sure there are a few people who will lap this up but I won’t be one of them.

  7. It does seem really deluded putting it against W&L, especially with such a dark theme this series. You’d think they would have learnt from their stupid scheudling of COPS LAC.

  8. Ch 9 should move it to 8.30 after Winners and Losers because there’s nothing interesting on anymore now that My Kitchen Rules is over. Viewers will get bored and switch the channel….

  9. This show hasn’t a hope in hell of getting even semi decent ratings against the delightful: “Winners And Losers!! Any I dislike Tammy Mackitosh….refuse to watch anything with her in it…….

  10. This could backfire on them spectacularly. Maybe it’s just me but it seems like a stupid move to put an Aussie drama against another Aussie drama. Monday 8.30pm seems like a better timeslot.

  11. So they are set for a fight with W&L.

Also notice how Nine manages to get the full TG into less time than at 8:30, it just shows home many more ads you have to sit through earlier in the night.

And why is it so much good stuff is on at 8:30 Tuesdays? I’m going to have do some serious shuffling as there are about 5 things I want to watch in that time slot, thank god for PayTV airing thing multiply time during the week!
